Medication Use in Older Drivers:Today’s guest on the “Beyond Driving with Dignity” podcast show is Mr. Jake Nelson, AAA’s National Director of Traffic Safety Advocacy & Research.  Mr. Nelson serves as AAA’s top safety expert before federal agencies and Congress, in scientific and academic venues, with transportation and public health stakeholder groups, and as spokesman for national print, radio and televised media.  Jake also directs annual strategic planning to address AAA’s safety advocacy efforts.As the Association’s chief safety expert, Mr. Nelson regularly works with transportation stakeholder groups, public health practitioners and elected officials at all levels of government.  He frequently represents the AAA federation before state policy audiences, Congress and U.S. federal agencies, to persuasively state the case for AAA’s public policy recommendations and evidence-based interventions.In today’s show, Mr. Nelson is going to offer some insight on a recent AAA study titled “Medication Use in Older Adult Drivers; Findings from the AAA LongROAD Study“.
