Why The Legal Examiner?
Most law firms publish content on their own websites and hope for the best. The problem is that firm websites compete against every other firm in their market — all fighting for the same keywords on the same type of domain.
Third-party publishing changes the equation. When you publish on The Legal Examiner, your content lives on an established, high-authority platform that already ranks. You’re not starting from zero — you’re building on a foundation that took years to establish.
The result: your articles show up where potential clients are actually searching. They see your name, read your analysis, and reach out — often before they ever visit your firm website.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can become a contributor?
Licensed attorneys, law firms, legal professionals, and qualified legal commentators. We review every application to maintain the quality and credibility of our platform.
What’s the difference between a Contributor and a Firm Publication?
A Contributor account gives you an author profile (firm or individual) and the ability to publish articles on the main Legal Examiner site. A Firm Publication gives your firm its own branded subdomain (like atlanta.legalexaminer.com) with up to 25 author accounts, built-in analytics, email newsletter distribution, and automatic crossposting to the main site for visibility. Every Firm Publication includes a Contributor account.
What is a Guide Sponsorship?
Guide Sponsorships let your firm partner with The Legal Examiner on a comprehensive legal guide covering a specific practice area. Each guide includes a main resource page, related sub-topics, and dozens of supporting articles — all with your firm’s branding, contact form, and partner attribution. Readers searching for help in your practice area find the guide, read your content, and reach out directly. It’s the deepest level of content partnership we offer.
Do I need to write my own articles?
No. We offer professional writing services for contributors and firms who want high-quality content without the time commitment. Many of our most successful contributors use our writing packages.
How does distribution work?
Articles published by contributors appear on the main Legal Examiner site, which is indexed by Google News. Firm Publication articles are crossposted from your subdomain to the main site with the canonical URL pointing back to your publication. All content is also distributed via ActivityPub (the open web protocol used by Mastodon, Threads, and other platforms).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Contributor accounts are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Firm Publications and Guide Sponsorships are also flexible — contact us to discuss terms.
