Six or seven Seagrove Elementary School students were taken to area hospitals when a car hit a rear wheel of their school bus on Southrock Road on October 1, 2010. One student was air lifted to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. The others were transported via ambulance. Several other students were picked up at the scene by their parents, while the remaining students were taken to school via activity bus.
