Morgan Reiss Payne died when the pickup truck he was riding in overturned. He was completely unrestrained in the truck bed. Driver Kory Michael Payne was driving while impaired, and Morgan was not his only passenger. Also in the pickup truck was passenger Nathan Anthony Martin who, according to the accident report filed by police in Forsyth County, sustained Type 4 Injuries. The report claims it is unable to be determined what, if any, form of safety restrain Nathan and the driver were wearing at the time of the accident.
