Dennis Covington, Jr. was hit as a pedestrian while checking a tire on Alamance Church Road in Greensboro on September 26, 2010. The motorist involved did not stop to check if Covington, Jr. was all right. The 16-year-old suffered a broken jaw, bruises and scratches, but was lucky to have survived the accident. Authorities are still trying to find the driver of this hit-and-run. They believe the car was a gold-colored Honda Accord.
