I received VERY sad news today that a friend in the legal community here in Birmingham had passed, Chris Christ. I have known Chris for approximately fifteen years. We used to work in the same building together, and we have gotten to know each other over the years.
Chris was a very gregarious individual who loved life and loved his family. He was of the old school. He handled criminal matters. Domestic issues. Collections. And various other cases. His clients loved him, and I was able to get to know some of his clients through a referral relationship.
Chris went out of his way for people. He was a huge Steelers and Alabama fan, and we had that commonality. He was from Pittsburgh, and we often discussed the Steelers. Last year, he obtained two autographed pictures of Nick Saban for my sons.
Chris just couldn’t have been a nicer guy, and I will miss him.
