Kevin Black, a 39-year-old molecular neurobiologist at the University of Washington, was killed when a van hit him as he commuted to work on his bicycle. The accident occurred near Northwest 64th Street and 24th Avenue Northwest in Ballard. It is unclear how the accident happened and it is still under investigation. Unfortunately, Kevin is not here to tell his side of the story.Mr. Black’s family has recently filed a wrongful death suit against the driver of the van, stating that she was negligent in making a U-turn, and against Ambient Control Company, the company that employed the driver because she was working for Ambient at the time of the accident. Mr. Black leaves behind a wife and two young daughters.
