The motorcyclists, traveling on separate motorcycles, were heading northbound on Meads Creek Road when a deer ran out into the roadway causing the motorcycle accident.

The woman lost control of her bike when she hit the deer with her bike, which also caused her to hit the other man’s motorcycle.

He refused medical treatment due to minor scrapes. The woman was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of a fractured wrist and head injury.

While the investigation is ongoing, officials don’t expect any charges.
