Anyone who received a metal-on-metal model of the DePuy Pinnacle hip implant and needed to have a revision surgery may be eligible to file a DePuy Pinnacle Lawsuit.
Personal injury lawyers are available to assist anyone who wants to file a hip replacement lawsuit. Although there was no official Pinnacle recall, lawyers are still filing claims on behalf of people seeking compensation for injuries incurred as a result of a failed Pinnacle hip.
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) announced in August 2013 that it would stop selling the metal-on-metal Pinnacle hip implant due to a higher than expected early failure rate. Three years before that announcement, J&J issued a DePuy hip recall involving the ASR Hip System for similar problems.
ASR recipients who filed a DePuy hip replacement lawsuit were awarded $250,000 under a November 2013 settlement. The settlement covers approximately 8,000 patients who received a DePuy ASR hip implant and required a revision surgery.
Through the settlement, J&J demonstrated their willingness to provide compensation to patients injured by faulty metal-on-metal hip implants. Pinnacle patients deserve the same justice.
If you or a loved one received a metal-on-metal DePuy Pinnacle hip replacement and was advised that a revision surgery was necessary, you may be eligible to file a DePuy Pinnacle lawsuit. Contact a lawyer to find out if you may qualify for compensation.
