Many people were hurt and suffered bad injuries, but unfortunately the victims ended up recovering very little for their damages, due to protracted litigation and rulings from the court that favored the manufacturer. > Even as litigation continues over the \[trans-vaginal\] pelvic mesh and judgments against manufacturers continue to pile up, more [litigation over the hernia mesh](https://www.levinlaw.com/hernia-mesh-lawsuit?ref=legalexaminer.com) – a nearly identical device – is growing. In many cases, this litigation involves the same defendants, including [Endo LLC](https://www.law360.com/articles/533509/endo-to-pay-830m-to-settle-most-vaginal-mesh-cases?ref=legalexaminer.com), Johnson & Johnson’s [Ethicon](https://www.law360.com/articles/961734/j-j-slammed-with-57m-verdict-in-philly-mesh-case?ref=legalexaminer.com) division, and [Bard Medical](https://www.law360.com/articles/936214/bard-settles-75-more-suits-in-pelvic-mesh-mdl?ref=legalexaminer.com). Other mesh manufacturers now facing legal action include Atrium, Medtronic, American Medical Systems, Boston Scientific and Coloplast.
