Both Moses Cone Hospital and High Point Medical Center have been demoted from “A” to “B” in recently released evaluations performed by the Leapfrog Group. These scores are based primarily on data collected from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and from the Leapfrog Groups annual hospital surveys. The algorithm resulting in the score factors in 28 different measures including patient safety data and communication among hospital doctors and nurses. You can learn more about the Leapfrog Group and look up your local hospital at https://www.hospitalsafetygrade.org/.
