Several meats were recently recalled by SHSCO Manufacturing, of Phoenix, because they were not inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

In a news release, FSIS said the problem was discovered by its personnel and is the subject of an ongoing investigation. "FSIS may take additional regulatory action based on the results of this investigation," the agency said.

The meats affected by this recall are marked with establishment numbers “EST. 34532” and EST. 44139” in the USDA mark of inspection. They were sold under several different brand names. View a complete list of recalled meats involved in this recall.

To date, there have been no reports of illness associated with this recall.

Consumers are urged to check their freezers for the tainted products. If you determine you have some of the recalled meat, you should return it to the store of purchase. If you are unsure where the meat was purchased, call the company directly.
