Patrick Booth

Mr. Booth is an Associate at the firm. Before joining Chaffin Luhana LLP, Mr. Booth was an associate at one of the largest litigation firms in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mr. Booth focuses his practice on representing personal injury victims in national mass tort litigation and in transportation accidents. Mr. Booth brings a varied background in transportation and product liability litigation and various other areas of personal injury litigation including mining accidents, occupational illnesses and toxic torts.

Education and Experience

Mr. Booth is a graduate of the University of Maryland Scholars Program on a Presidential Academic Scholarship with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government. As an undergraduate, he served for four years as a community advocate for the University Judiciary Board and participated in the Student Government Association. He also worked for a law firm specializing in international trade and customs law.

Mr. Booth received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a staff editor and business manager of the Law Review. At Pitt be was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Torts and he was invited to represent the University in the Gourley Cup Competition. Mr. Booth was also a winner in the Murray Love Trial Moot Court Competition.

Throughout his career, Mr. Booth has drafted dozens of merit briefs in the Appellate Court systems of Ohio and Pennsylvania, including briefs to the Supreme Court of Ohio. His appeals changed the prevailing law in various areas of transportation litigation; his reported cases include: Rossi v. Consolidated Rail Corporation, 2010 Ohio 5788; Fields I v. CSX Transportation, Inc., 2010 Ohio 3877; Fields II v. CSX Transportation, Inc., 2011 Ohio 6761; Link v. Consolidated Rail Corporation, 2009 Ohio 6216.
