The cartoon seems funny; if what is depicted is true, the reality is not very funny at all:

This is what happens when politics infringe on our justice system. The Constitution guarantees our right to trial by jury. Yet, the largest contributors to political campaigns, including those of the elected judiciary, are corporations or corporate interest groups. Politics as usual is systematically infringing on a precious right that is guaranteed by our Constitution. Don’t let them get away with it. The people still have the power of the vote. The only way to combat a corporate takeover of our civil justice system is to vote for pro-justice candidates and against anti-justice candidates who take money from corporate interests.

This is so true, the money and ties to decisions is sickening and so anti consumer. Hopefully, people will understand this for the power grab it is.
